Day 1 - Done

What a busy day - whew. Gonna take a bit to get used to this. Kaitlyn didn't sleep that well last night so she was up early and in bed early.

My day:
5:30 get up and binky Kaitlyn and prep bottle
6:00 feed her
6:30 get myself ready
6:45 she falls asleep - walk Cody
7:15 get her up, changed
7:35 - Driving
7:45 - get her to daycare, sign in, get her situated.
8:00 - cry on the way out and in the car
8:30 - get to work and have a crazy day trying to get up to speed. I had 10,900 emails. Over 1k are real
11:00 get access to their webcam to see her
1:30 call and check on her - all ok
5:00 leave work
5:30 walk in to find her SCREAMING with tears while the teacher is trying to feed her
6:00 Eat
6:20 play with her
6:45 give her a bath and get the perfume/daycare funk off of her
7:15 giver her a bottle and have her pass out
7:30-9:00 empty then run dishwasher, straighten up house, shower, prep her for tomorrow, prep myself for tomorrow, fold laundry, wash towels, take Cody out and shower
9:00 sit down and relax - ahhhhhhh

Pick up wasn't great. She was crying hard and I had to ask for her to hold her to comfort her.

I also don't like how they are feeding her. It seems they are shoving a bottle down her throat instead of getting her to sleep which is just pissing her off more. The timeline on the chart shows they are trying to feed her in 2 hours instead of the 3-4 I usually do. She only napped at most 15 minutes today which is soooo unlike her - so is crying like that.

I guess we both need to get used to this. Tomorrow is Grandma's for the full day - I'll be in NY for the first time.

Twas the night before my workday

Twas the night before my workday and all through the house
Mommy was working - looking for a blouse
Kaitlyn's bag was packed and hung by the door with care
With the hopes of leaving the house -on time - Do I dare?
My baby girl is tucked all snug in her bed
With visions of ladybugs dancing through her head.
With Cody chewing his bone, and I with my tea
Had just settled down for computer time and blogs to see.
when out of my mind drew such a fear
What would tomorrow be like - oh dear.
Opened up word pad, for me to list
anything else I could have missed?
It's all crossed off and and placed out of sight.
Wish me luck tomorrow everyone and good night!

So this is Christmas

So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
Ans so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young

What a year! Last Christmas I had just announced I was pregnant(6 weeks only). I didn't know anything about her - about being a mom - or how my life would change. It's been the most amazing year and it's much to the thanks to the support of family and friends.

Here are the pics from Christmas this year...

The ladybug also thanks everyone for her gifts too - you were all so very generous! Lou and Diane - she wore her bib to the Christmas party!

Rolling and shopping

So I'm an idiot and forgot I could actually post without going to the site but just won't be able to see what I am posting.

She is at her second day of daycare right now and was ALL SMILES. Seriously. It was so nice to drop her off and she how happy she was. Everyone makes such a big fuss over her and tells me how cute she is. Even the parents came over to say hi to her and compliment her. I was so proud! I left with not a single tear today :)

Here is the pic of her in mid roll from Monday. She also found her toes. Need a pic of that now.

Here she is before our shopping trip yesterday. She was more exited than I was.

1st day of daycare

I'm not sure this post is even going to work as I am emailing it in.
Something is wrong with how I get to this address from home so I can't
even view the blog and haven't for a week.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to have a backup plan with
daycare and today was Kaitlyn's first day of daycare - a sort of trial
run. My goal was to get her there 7:30/8:00 and pick her up at
12:00/12:30. I had spend almost 3 hours last night getting everything
ready, filling out the stack of paperwork, and labeling every she
owned. (Thank God for the P-Touch) I got up at 6:30 and managed to
throw on some jeans and a bit of makeup. Got her up, changed and fed
and STILL wasn't out of the house until 7:45 ARG! I'm gonna have to
work on this.

We get there and they showed us around. I was strong during the crib
setup but lost it at the goodbye part. I mean LOST IT. Full on tears
and quivering lip. Kaitlyn was fine. We went back to the office to
finish the paperwork and when we left - I was full on sobbing. Thank
you mommy hormones. I think it's a combination of things that is
getting to me. Most of which is going back to work and not seeing her
10-12 hours a day after spending almost every waking minute with her.
It's going to be a lot when I go back to meed to get everything
done...

My mom went with me to pick her up and she was ALL SMILES. It made me
feel SOOOO much better. I think I almost can handle it.

In other news today - SHE ROLLED OVER from her back to tummy and then
proceeded to do it all day/night long and not nap :) I have pics to
post but I can't until this website thing is fixed.

Caxton August Babies

There must have been something in the water at Caxton (where I work) because 4 of us had babies all within a week of each other. We met up today at Jen's house and had a nice lunch and got to share war(birth) stories. Kaitlyn got to try out a bouncer and LOVED it - She's asking for one from Santa.

All the pics are here

She has started to laugh

Finally - full on laughter! It's not the cutest laugh (kinda sounds like she is crying) but it's amazing and I love to hear it.

In other news - the shower is DONE! YAY!!! Pic soon - I need to charge the batteries on the camera.

We need a babysitter for New Years

Wanted: responsible adult to care for adorable smiling baby that requires lots of snuggles.

Any takers?

You're getting sllleeeepppyy

It's very obvious when Kaitlyn is sleepy. She grunts/moans, snuggles into you, and now just recently - rubs her eyes. Here it is as I was writing the last post.

All I want for Christmas is...

my two bottom teeth? Just kidding!

A lot of you have asked what to get the little ladybug or what size she is... I'm not really looking for anything specific - she doesn't really have much of anything right now except extreme cuteness.

She is also currently busting out of size 3-6 so is more of a 6-9 month in clothes right now.

1st non family baby sitter

I went down to Kara's house on Thursday to see the Lady Gaga concert and had a friend of Kara's niece watch the little lady bug. (there was actually 6 babysitters together for both Danger and Kaitlyn) She was good but apparently had one screaming/crying fit when she woke up and didn't see me there. It broke my heart and I was anxious for the entire concert after I heard the news.

The concert was AMAZING though!

Here she is after bath time. Still a bubble making machine.I think I'm more traumatized that she is.

She's reaching...

So I'm a bad mommy..I took her over to my parents house today and forgot to move the cow over for her to grab. It's hard to see but you can see her trying to reach for it. She was also grunting trying to reach it. Sooo cute.

Hi Lynn and Steve - I know you're looking!
